GM TPI Products

GM offered their first multiport fuel injection for Corvettes, Camaros and TransAms in 1985 and called it Tuned Port EFI. They kept it in production until 1992. Putting one of these attractive and good running engines under the hood of your favorite G-body, muscle car, street rod, Jaguar, truck or boat provides a good looking, smooth running engine with great torque. Without the proper wiring, however, it can be down right intimidating.

Fortunately Howell’s offers application specific, and easy to use TPI harnesses. These attractive harnesses feature GM/Packard high temperature wire and Packard Weatherpack connectors, each clearly labeled for ease of installation. Simply plug in the weatherproof connectors where indicated, connect the ignition, battery and fuel pump wires, and you have a great looking system you can be proud of with the hood up or down.

Our TPI harnesses have injector branches that run down each side of the intake manifold for a clean, professional look and include underhood mounting provisions for relays and the ECS module. Our street rod harnesses run down the middle of the engine, out of sight under the plenum.

Howell also has all the support accessories you need for MAF (1985-89) and Speed Density (1990-92) systems, including ignition control modules, sensors, fuel pumps, E-Proms, Mem-Cals and even air filters. Couple this with 23 years of experience and you get the quality, knowledge and security that take the guess work out of TPI, and puts you in the driver’s seat quickly with a proven design system.

When ordering, please let us know what emission, fan, AC and VSS wiring is required for your specific application and we will create a handmade Howell TPI harness just for you!
